The session started with an introduction of all the members of the course with MY FABULOUS FLAG. We had to make a quick drawing with the most important people and things in our life, our hobbies, mottos and so on using our favourite colours. Then we explained our flag to the rest of the participants.

These are our FABULOUS FLAGS |
- To enable you to understand the value of using innovative methods in the classroom with students of all ages.
- To gain detailed insight using innovative teaching practices in the class.
- To practice planning, setting up and running innovative activities in order to gain the motivation and confidence to use them in your own classroom.
Betty asked all of us what we expected from the course and she made write our answers.
Then we had to think and write on post-it sheets our JOYS and CHALLENGES when we teach.
Then we shared our ideas and made two posters with our answers.
BRAIN GYM: We had three sessions with Betty, who is a superfriendly psychologist and a great communicator. We learned a lot from her but we will problably remember her forever because of a technique she used to use every hour or whenever she thought we needed a quick rest. This technique was called BRAIN GYM. We inhaled and exhaled slowly and then moved in different ways: making music with pens and pencils, dancing, standing and moving our hands and arms following her instructions.... And I can say it was a great strategy to have fresh oxygen in our brains.
